The Beat Retreat
WHAT IS
CONGENITAL
HEART DISEASE ?
Congenital heart disease (CHD) occurs when someone is born with structural heart defect. CHD was once considered a childhood disease since few patients lived past their teen years. Today, about 95% of patients with CHD survive into adulthood, but half will require life-long monitoring and specialized care.
Who we are

The Beat Retreat is a four-day annual retreat for adults (18+) living with congenital heart disease (CHD). The retreat provides attendees with a valuable opportunity to build life-long friendships, share and learn from each other, and participate in a range of new and exciting activities.
